Urban Landscape Paintings by Courtney Kleinman

The Urban Landscape paintings by Courtney Kleinman combine acrylic paint with original digital photography taken on her travels around Los Angeles
and other cities. The photos are digitally adjusted, printed, and affixed to canvas. Courtney then extends the image with paint (without imposing on the
photographic print), telling her own story about the landscape. This approach gives new life to common cityscapes and asks the viewer to re-think their surroundings.

Courtney is a Los Angeles native who has lived throughout the city and is consistently inspired by the combination of natural and urban elements that surround us. She currently lives in Studio City.
